Edible Petal Pi(e) Self-Striping - Cozy Base

We've added a new colorway to our Pi(e) collection - Edible Petal Pi(e)! Did you know that many flowers are edible and make beautiful additions to salads and decorations for cakes? Well, we would like to imagine a pie bursting full of beautiful flower petals, so that's what we did! The flowers we chose were:

Chive Flowers (light-medium purple)
Pansies (variegated darker purple with gold)
Nasturtiums (orange)
Daisies (white)
Borage (blue)

As with all of our Pi(e) colorways, the size of the stripes correspond with the order of the digits in pi (3.14159265358979323846....). Where a zero appears in the string of digits, the color of that stripe is skipped, so even the color repetition will be interrupted at times.

In order to assure you can begin your project with the first digit, the initial "3," you will find a stitch marker affixed to the strand that begins the striping pattern. Warning! If you like your socks to match, this skein is not for you! You will need two skeins in order to make a matching pair.

The first picture below shows a sample of this colorway knit up in our Traveler sport base over 52 stitches on US 1.5s.

We are offering this colorway on Cozy - 100% SW Merino, worsted, 220 yards

Recommended care: Though these are all superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.

All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.

We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
